Being in The Cosmetology Industry

When I grew up I was always playing with my dolls hair, messing with my mom’s hairdryers and combs, putting makeup all over the walls in my house, spilling nail polish all over the carpet and even curling or braiding my mom’s hair at midnight. This life of cosmetics I knew I always wanted to be in. Even though it put me through a lot of trouble and heartache of running the hot blow dryer under cold water or even burning my hands with the curling iron multiple times, it’s always been a dream of mine to attend cosmetology school.
My mom owns her own salon and I would watch her for hours as a kid and I continue to do so today. She’s always been an inspiration and she’s who I want to be someday. Her accomplishments, her hard work and her intelligence encourage me to want to be in this industry. This industry is an amazing industry to get into and who doesn’t want to make their client feel good? The satisfaction of a client leaving at the end of their service with a smile on their face is the best feeling and award of the day. I have a passion to work hard in this industry and to be successful in all of my work.
So finally, I’m getting the opportunity to attend a school with instructors who truly care who I am and the education I’m receiving. I couldn’t have picked a better school to go to and it’s worth every hour. I love Xenon Academy and I’m so glad I chose this career path and this school. It’s a place where I feel like I can be myself and succeed to be who I want to be.
